Thunder Farm "Regenerative Cultivation" Diary

Today, May 27th, is a new moon! It's right around noon.

Today is a new moon, so Thunder Farm is open to the public (my own rule)

It's a modest Thunder Farm, with a variety of vegetables such as green onions, onions, komatsuna, spinach, cabbage, shiso leaves, and okra.

I bought some summer vegetables, okra and perilla seeds, for 100 yen each! The sprouts have already sprouted and are growing.

All other vegetables are "regeneratively grown" by planting the cores and roots of vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away.

I highly recommend this! It's so easy, just plant it.

We have already harvested green onions many times! We cut the roots of the growing green onions with scissors.

A new leek is growing next to it!

It has an incredible amount of vitality.

I just cut off the roots of some leeks I bought at the supermarket with a knife and planted them.

I've had the roots cut off four or five times now.

Freshly picked in the morning is the best! I eat it with natto for breakfast and in miso soup.

Just as the word "itadakimasu" suggests, we can be grateful for life.

Komatsuna also grows very quickly! I'll put this in miso soup too.

I'm looking forward to eco-villages

An environment where you can build your own house, grow your own vegetables, and be self-sufficient! I feel that this is probably the happiest environment.

I haven't jumped into that environment yet, butNeo-Jomon" lifestyle is "A world of love and harmonyI am convinced that this is the "world."

If there is a community of like-minded people like that, maybe even I can join! I am grateful for the existence of such a wonderful community.

It's not realistic right now! Just like me!Eco VillageI admire that! If you are like me, I recommend home gardening!

Home gardening is not a business, it is not a commerce.Grow your favorite vegetables in your kitchen or on your balconyIt's good to start from scratch :)

If there were more people like this, if neighbours or people living in the same apartment building or area each grew their favourite vegetables, and there was a surplus of those vegetables!ShareIt would be good if you did that!

"A world where vegetables circulate through barter"It's not just vegetables, but don't you think a circular world is important?

For example, in a common area or lobby of an apartment building, or in a neighborhood meeting place,Please feel free to take" Imagine an environment where there are so many fresh vegetables.

What if distribution stops due to a disaster? Aren't there a lot of people these days who are preparing for such a thing?

As one way of preparing for this, I think growing vegetables and starting a home garden, even in a corner of the kitchen or on a balcony, is one way we can all work together to create a better world.

And while it is important to stock up on supplies in case of disasters, the most important thing is toRethinking neighborhood communitiesThis spirit of harmony and harmony is a culture that we Japanese people can be proud of.There's no doubt that it's better to have connections not only through social media, but also to have a friendly community and environment in case communication functions such as social media are actually paralyzed.

Some people are not good at communicating, so I think it would be good if someone could help them out in a spirit of mutual cooperation.

All you have to do is do what you can. If that becomes a circle and circulates, the dots of small community gatherings will connect and become a circle! I hope that we will live in such an era.

In households with small children,Summer vacation independent studyI think it would be interesting to try regenerative cultivation of things like this.

I think growing vegetables helps you to feel gratitude for the food you eat and learn to love it.

How to make simple egg fried rice

[Egg fried rice]

The only ingredients are eggs and green onions. No meat such as char siu is added.

It is made with spring onions grown by Thunder Farm.

This time I added fried tofu. If you fry it until it's crispy, it adds an interesting texture and is delicious.

I often make fried rice, but my ownTips on how to make fluffy fried riceWe would like to introduce you to the following.

This time I made it with 2 cups of rice.

point!First of all, when I cook rice, I add seasoning to it.

The key is to cook rice using a little less water than usual.

Add Chinese seasonings such as salt, pepper, and Weipa to the rice, and add about a tablespoon of oil (and a little soy sauce) before cooking.

The rest is just frying in a regular frying pan.

Fry an egg sunny side up in hot oil (I add garlic here) and then add the cooked rice.

You will find that it is easier to make fluffy fried rice than the usual fried rice.

eyeJust mix the fried egg into the rice! That's all you need to do! It's already cooked.

This time I used fried tofu, so I fried the fried tofu first. Crispy fried tofu is delicious, not just crispy bacon.
